Trumpeter Jan van Duikeren and singer Marcel Veenendaal bring two musical worlds together during their new tour, Dear Son. Jan van Duikeren is one of the leading trumpeters in the Netherlands. Marcel van Veenendaal, as frontman of the rock band DI-RECT, is known for his expressive voice and powerful performances. When Jan invited Marcel to sing ‘Almost Blue’ for his record, their shared passion for jazz worked out so well that they recorded an album together in 2024: A Love Unveiled. In 2025, they already performed in our Small Hall during their sold-out tour; on December 17, they return to the Hertog Jan Zaal for a swinging jazz concert featuring new music! The duo will be supported live by jazz legends Martijn Vink, Aram Kersbergen, and Karel Boehlee.
