Merhaba Eindhoven is a festival entirely dedicated to Turkish culture. In the afternoon, you can visit the free Bazaar, featuring live music, a wide variety of stalls, the finest Turkish food and drinks, workshops, and children’s activities. This makes the Bazaar a great event for the whole family.
In the evening, you can attend the concert by the Turkish rock band maNga. The afterparty will be hosted by Music from the Orient and DJ Blue Flamingo. For more information and tickets, visit this page.

IJsco Ali
Entertainment
Artful tricks and juggling with delicious Turkish ice cream by IJsco Ali. Performances that literally leave both young and old licking their fingers. The always cheerful, magician-like ice cream man IJsco Ali presents his ice cream with flair. His skills are so virtuoso that he captivates everyone within seconds. Before IJsco Ali hands over his exclusive Turkish ice cream to his eagerly waiting audience, he puts on a phenomenal ice cream show that sparks great hilarity. IJsco Ali is as swift as lightning. And why is everyone laughing so much? It’s fun and magic!
Sercan
Music
Sercan has been making music for over 35 years. She started with the piano, moved on to the Saz, and has been playing the ukulele for the past two years. She studied Turkish music for one year at the Rotterdam Conservatory. In addition, she enjoys singing and has performed with the Turkish Saz (long-necked lute) in the theatre production ‘De Gesluierde Monologen’ (The Veiled Monologues) by Adelheid Roosen.
Stichting Entr'acte
Workshop
Stichting Entr’acte was founded in May 2022 with the aim of promoting participation in arts and culture within society. Entr’acte acts as an umbrella organisation and collaborates with various arts and cultural institutions, including Theatervereniging Kulis, Muziekatelier Eindhoven, and Dansatelier Hazan. Stichting Entr’acte regularly organises art gatherings and workshops where renowned musicians and theatre directors share their expertise. In addition, the foundation hosts the International Children’s Festival every April, a vibrant event that inspires and connects children of all ages.
During Merhaba Eindhoven, you can take part in a folk dance workshop organised by Stichting Entr’acte.
Başak Ersöz
Music
After graduating from the M.S.Ü State Conservatory in Türkiye, Başak Ersöz continued her studies at conservatories in Italy and Switzerland, earning seven diplomas as a flautist. She regularly performed in solo, chamber music, and orchestra concerts, and participated in numerous festivals both at home and abroad. In 2022, she became a professor at the Istanbul State Conservatory, and since 2024 she has continued her work in the Netherlands, where she founded the International Flute Academy. In addition, she teaches flute, recorder, piano, and music theory.
During Merhaba Eindhoven, Başak Ersöz will be performing together with Şeniz Duru Koevoets.
Şeniz Duru Koevoets
Music
Şeniz Duru Koevoets, born in Turkey, studied piano at the Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory and obtained her DMA in 2001. She taught at the DEU State Conservatory for over 20 years, where she also served as head of the piano faculty. In 2018, she moved to the Netherlands and started her own music school in Eindhoven. She teaches piano lessons, performs solo and chamber music, and is a member of the ensemble Tango de Barrio.
During Merhaba Eindhoven, Şeniz Duru Koevoets will be performing together with Başak Ersöz.

Puppets entered Serkan Öztürk’s artistic life in 1999. The adventure began in the early years with marionettes and continued in the following years with hand puppets. Theater 916 enriches cultural events and festivals with its puppets, representing various characters. The puppets provide the audience with enjoyable moments through dance and song performances.
Joy Dance Lab
Workshop
Bellydance school dancers will light up the Merhaba Eindhoven with captivating belly dance performances. After the show, we invite you to participate in our small workshop where you can experience the joy of belly dance. It’s a wonderful opportunity to move, express yourself, and try something new, all in a fun, warm and lively atmosphere. Let the rhythms connect our hearts! Come join us to dance, celebrate; have fun and an unforgettable day together!
Rastika
Music
Rastika is a music band that was founded last year in Eindhoven. Rastika mainly plays Turkish pop music from the ’80s and ’90s. In addition, they also perform Turkish Alaturca and international music. The band strongly believes in the universal language of music, does not set limits, and enjoys playing anything they find fun!
Ceramics with Betül Aşlı Bayram
Workshop
In this workshop, we will paint a mug. The mugs will be glazed and fired at 1050 degrees, and will be delivered within 2-3 weeks. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the participant.

Pötibör
Music
Pötibör is a cover band that plays Turkish pop-rock songs. The band was formed with Ece (vocals), Baran (drums), Sinan (electric guitar), Yusuf (bass guitar), and Sinan (clarinet). Since 2023, the band members have been joyfully making music together and are eager to share that joy!
