The seven-piece Kalima blends psychedelic cumbia with disco, funk, and electronic grooves. The Leiden-based band builds on infectious rhythms and rich percussion, resulting in an energetic, danceable, and globally inspired sound. During BRIDGE Around Town, they bring their refreshing sound to M. Their debut EP was released in February 2025, followed by a sold-out show at the Nobel and a spot in Popronde. Since then, they’ve played various Dutch festivals and supported acts such as The Mauskovic Dance Band and COLLIGNON. Live, the barrier is low, the energy is high, and the music is irresistibly danceable!
