So much beautiful poetry has been written, and there are countless wonderful, thrilling, and poignant stories. Soprano Veronika Akhmetchina and pianist Martien Maas present the performance ‘Wat ik laatst las’, exploring immersion in stories with music by Debussy, Tchaikovsky, and Mozart. Ilse Schuit, a versatile soprano in her final year of a BA in Classical Singing, combines singing, acting, and linguistics. In this concert, she will perform Roger Quilter’s ‘Three Songs of the Sea’, which are touching due to their beautiful depiction of the sea. Mezzo-soprano Suzanne Charité, a fourth-year student at the FAA, will perform Bach’s ‘Qui sedes ad dexteram Patris’ from the B minor Mass.

After the concert

A lunch break concert isn’t complete without a delicious lunch. Therefore, after the concert, you can enjoy a flavorful homemade soup and freshly baked bread in the Stadsfoyer. You can add this to your ticket directly. Staying a bit longer? Great!
