Group of Friends is the Amsterdam-based collective led by drummer and composer Yoràn Vroom. Drawing inspiration from folk traditions from around the world, with a strong foundation in Afro-diasporic music, the group creates a distinctive contemporary sound in which improvisation takes center stage. The dedicated musicians continuously reinvent Vroom’s compositions, making every performance unique. After collaborating with international artists such as Frank McComb, Ed Motta, Snarky Puppy, Candy Dulfer, and Benjamin Herman, Vroom has focused exclusively on Group of Friends since 2021. This has resulted in two albums, a commissioned work for the BIMHUIS, and a live reputation defined by energy, adventure, and musical freedom.

Schedule

The doors of M open at 4:00 PM, where you can enjoy a drink and music from the DJ. The concert starts at 5:00 PM and runs until 6:15 PM. To wrap things up nicely, the DJ will keep playing until 7:00 PM.
