At the age of five, Belgian pianist Alex Koo was already known as a classical prodigy. In his teenage years, he developed a passion for jazz and improvisation, catching the attention of jazz greats such as Kurt Elling, Kenny Werner, and Brad Mehldau. Today, Koo defies musical categorization, effortlessly blending jazz and contemporary classical music with elements of film music and even indie. In February 2025, he released “Blame It on My Chromosomes,” featuring Dré Pallemaerts (drums) and Lennart Heyndels (double bass). This afternoon, you can hear the trio at M — a performance that promises daring interplay and musical fireworks.
Schedule
The doors of M open at 4:00 PM, where you can enjoy a drink and music from the DJ. The concert by the Alex Koo Trio starts at 5:00 PM and runs until 6:15 PM. To wrap things up nicely, the DJ will keep playing until 7:00 PM.
