“The kind of music you’d want to hear in a Hollywood film during the scene where the protagonist burns it all to the ground,” is how music blog Hot Lunch Music describes their sound. After years of playing in various bands, brother and sister Pepijn and Floortje van der Kooy wanted to launch a project that would fully realise their musical vision. The result? Alison’s Fall: a band with a “walk like a badass” attitude and music that grabs you by the throat. Alison’s Fall goes beyond alternative rock. Steeped in the chemistry of a shared childhood – filled with music, inspiration and unbridled passion – Pepijn and Floortje create a sound that is raw, honest and compelling. With drummer Martin Brummelkamp and multi-instrumentalist Douwe Hoonhout on board, a powerful, organic dynamic emerges that comes even more to life in a live setting. Having supported acts such as Saint Agnes, Orange Skyline and Royal Republic, Alison’s Fall have already gained a wealth of experience, and you can feel that in their stage energy.
