Anoushka Shankar

Master sitarist and composer Anoushka Shankar is coming to Eindhoven for the first time! Born in London as the daughter of the legendary Ravi Shankar, Anoushka does not confine herself to traditional Indian music. She experiments with fusion, world music, and electronics, and has collaborated with artists such as Herbie Hancock, Sting, and Norah Jones. In this concert, she will perform music from her earlier albums as well as tracks from her latest EP, ‘Chapter II: How Dark It Is Before Dawn’. Anoushka began playing the sitar at the age of nine, has toured worldwide, and developed her unique style, earning her multiple Grammy nominations, including for Best Global Music Album in 2023.
