He is now 20 and has already won dozens of first prizes at international guitar competitions, including one of the oldest, the Michele Pittaluga Competition 2025, founded in 1986. The young Spaniard is widely praised for his distinctive playing style. “His interpretation is rich in nuance, virtuosic, and entertaining; an asset to the noble Spanish guitar tradition,” the jury report stated. The program includes tributes to De Falla, Rodrigo, Ruiz-Pipó, Debussy, and others, as well as his own transcriptions. Ausiàs Parejo plays all over the world and is a welcome guest at guitar festivals. This includes our own BRIDGE festival!

Ausiàs Parejo was born into a musical family. At the age of four, he received his first lessons from his father, guitarist Rubén Pajero. For connoisseurs: his playing has been influenced by teachers such as Tomás Gilabert and Joaquín Clerch. He has taken masterclasses with David Russell, Pedro Mateo González, Ricardo Gallén Garcia, Marco Tamayo, and Pepe Romero, among others. Ausiás is not musically shy. In 2018 (when he was 12!), he recorded the CD ‘Con tanta tenerezza’, accompanied by his father and in collaboration with jazz musicians such as Ximo Tébar and Víctor Mendoza. In 2023, his first solo album featuring Spanish and Latin American guitar music was released.
