In the Netherlands, the Matthäus-Passion is a cherished tradition, especially during Holy Week. Nowhere else in the world is Johann Sebastian Bach’s music performed and enjoyed with such passion and dedication. The Philips Choir has been upholding this special tradition since 1948, presenting the Matthäus-Passion for over 75 years. For both musicians and visitors, this masterpiece represents a highlight of the musical season every year.
