Do you want to get more out of classical pieces and feel more involved during concerts? Or would you like to understand classical music better? In this course, music theorist Asja Zakhareva shows you in an interactive way the “games” composers have hidden in their music. Discover how to unravel these puzzles and let yourself be carried away by the emotions and humor within the pieces. This way, classical music becomes not only understandable, but a true enrichment of your daily life.
This is what you can expect:
- Part 1: Wed 16 sep 2026:
The first session uncovers three listening principles that have been scientifically proven to help get the greatest emotional impact from pieces. - Part 2: Wed 23 sep 2026:
The second session explores compositions from the 16th through to the 20th century welcoming our creative imagination to thrive. - Part 3: Wed 7 oct 2026:
The third session explains how emotions in music have evolved over time, and how can we benefit from this knowledge as listeners. - Part 4: Wed 14 oct 2026:
The fourth session shares strategies helping to maintain focus and build an exciting curiosity for what is coming next.
Four interactive evenings filled with music and interactivity in which learning-by-doing is the key.
