Duo Eós brings together violinist Hyunjin Cho and cellist Efstratia Chaloulakou in a sparkling interplay that connects Japan, Greece, and the Netherlands. Cho, trained at the prestigious Toho Gakuen School of Music and a luminary on international stages like Carnegie Hall, combines refinement with virtuosity. Chaloulakou, a cum laude graduate and former principal cellist of the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra, adds a powerful, expressive sound. The name Duo Eós, named after the Greek goddess of the dawn, symbolizes new beginnings and the poetic merging of their musical worlds.
After the concert
A lunchtime concert is, of course, not complete without a delicious lunch. After the concert, enjoy a flavorful homemade soup and freshly baked bread in the Stadsfoyer. You can add this directly to your ticket!

Lunchtime concerts
Our lunchtime concerts are a delight to experience: both literally and figuratively! Taking a break in the middle of the day to relax for an hour with a nice concert in the Small Hall really makes the day feel refreshing. From piano recitals to chamber music and brass ensembles, the offerings are varied and innovative. Since we believe that emerging talent deserves a platform, our lunchtime concerts feature (recently graduated) students, competition winners, and other promising gems.
