Eindje van de Week is the talk show for the Brainport region of Eindhoven, where every three weeks Mike Weerts and Hans Matheeuwsen welcome inspiring guests from politics, culture, sports, and society. Today’s theme is: The balance between growth and quality of life. Since 2024, work has been underway on a new terminal at Eindhoven Airport, and next year the airport will temporarily close for a major renovation. Director Roel Hellemans joins us to discuss these developments and the airport’s role in the Brainport region. Making the city a little cleaner? Leave that to Gina Makken. What started with just a few volunteers has grown into Troep Troopers: a movement of 250 people taking on the fight against litter. Also joining are Carmen van Vilsteren, one of the leading pioneers in the Dutch medical technology sector, and Sandra Dorelijers, manager of PSV Women. The musical accompaniment comes from singer-songwriter Mick Stender, and Iris Penning looks back on the past week in her signature poetic style.
