1960s electric folk, 1970s rock à la The Babies, and storytelling lyrics in the style of Bob Dylan: Fantastic Cat proves that this is a winning combination. Although the band started as a supergroup, with members Don DiLego, Anthony D’Amato, Brian Dunne, and Mike Montali each having successful solo careers, two years ago, they were still a rock band with a small fanbase. This changed with their debut album The Very Best Of Fantastic Cat. For their new album Now That’s What I Call Fantastic Cat, they wrote the songs together for the first time. The result is a collection of moving and funny songs with catchy melodies, beautiful harmonies, and surprising arrangements.
