Fontys Bigband

The Fontys Bigband, established in the 1990s, is the beating heart of the jazz program at the Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg. Under the direction of Maino Remmers, the band focuses on a variety of jazz styles and popular music, from swing to salsa and fusion to rock. Many renowned Dutch jazz musicians started their careers here. Each month, the band rehearses a new program, culminating in a final concert. This provides students with valuable stage experience and insights into musical diversity. The band performs regularly, both nationally and internationally, and accompanies soloists and vocalists from the conservatory and beyond.

After the concert
