The Belgian ambient pop band Hooverphonic broke through in the mid-1990s with its atmospheric and playful mix of triphop. Since then, the band’s sound has evolved significantly, incorporating influences from psychedelic music, pop, and orchestral arrangements. Now they are celebrating their 30th anniversary, and the milestone wouldn’t be complete without Noémie Wolfs, an iconic voice from Hooverphonics history. Her performance at the Queen Elisabeth Hall in 2012 is still considered legendary. Her rendition of ‘Mad About You’ went on to become a true classic and has gathered more than 200 million views on YouTube.
