The Canadian roots band HORSEBATH made a big impression this year with their debut album “Another Farewel.” The four multi-instrumentalists — three of whom take turns as lead vocalist — blend their love for the American South with a distinctly Canadian character. The result is an adventurous, layered sound with echoes of the Tex-Mex vibe of the Sir Douglas Quintet, the swamp rock of Creedence Clearwater Revival, the dreamy country of Gram Parsons, and the storytelling Americana of The Band. The songs on the album were written on the road, while driving through vast landscapes, and revolve around themes of farewell and life on the move. This October, HORSEBATH will bring their adventurous sound to Americana Mondays for the very first time!
