Iago Banet is regarded as one of the most striking fingerstyle guitarists of the moment. Having started out in Galicia, he settled in London in 2014, where he built his solo career. Drawing on influences from the likes of Merle Travis, Chet Atkins and Tommy Emmanuel, he has developed his own style in which technique and musicality come together. With three albums to his name and successful tours across the UK, Banet effortlessly captivates audiences. His playing moves between folk, blues, jazz and more, with a rich and dynamic sound. As a ‘one-man band’ on acoustic guitar, he brings a versatile and compelling live programme to Bridge Around Town.
