Johannes Fischer meets Boston Conservatory at Berklee & ESART

Pause in the middle of the festival for an hour of music that crosses borders. This lunchtime concert brings German percussionist Johannes Fischer together with students from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and ESART Portugal. Fischer is one of the leading voices in contemporary classical percussion, a professor at the Musikhochschule Lübeck who plays all over the world. Here he shares the stage with young musicians from two top conservatories, with talent from Europe, the United States and Portugal meeting in a single room for one focused hour. You don’t need to know a thing about percussion to love it. Wander in on your lunch break, stay for the whole set, and let it be the easiest, most beautiful hour of your day.
After the concert
A lunchtime concert is, of course, not complete without a delicious lunch. After the concert, enjoy a flavorful homemade soup and freshly baked bread in the Stadsfoyer. You can add this directly to your ticket!
TROMP Percussion
19-27 september
For nine days, Eindhoven transforms into the beating heart of the global percussion scene, with world-class soloists, emerging makers, and rhythms echoing from concert halls to city streets.

Lunchtime concerts
Our lunchtime concerts are a delight to experience: both literally and figuratively! Taking a break in the middle of the day to relax for an hour with a nice concert in the Small Hall really makes the day feel refreshing. From piano recitals to chamber music and brass ensembles, the offerings are varied and innovative. Since we believe that emerging talent deserves a platform, our lunchtime concerts feature (recently graduated) students, competition winners, and other promising gems.
