On Saturday 21 November, we’ll be celebrating the fifth edition of Merhaba Eindhoven, the festival dedicated entirely to Turkish culture. For this extra festive anniversary edition, we welcome none other than superstar Şevval Sam! The Turkish star made her breakthrough with her role in the popular television series Süper Baba, after which several leading roles quickly followed in successful productions such as Yasak Elma, Gülbeyaz and Bodrum Masali. But acting is not her only passion. Since 2006, she has also been showcasing her impressive musical talent with renditions of Gelevera Deresi and Ben seni sevduğumi. In her music, she combines traditional Turkish sounds with modern arrangements and sings in no fewer than 23 languages. With her powerful stage presence and unifying music, Şevval Sam is the perfect headliner for this special anniversary edition.
During the day, you can experience Turkish culture at the free Bazaar, an afternoon for the whole family filled with music, food, workshops and activities.
