Band Music from the Orient is a four-piece band performing acoustic interpretations of well-known songs in their own unique style. With three lead vocalists and a wide array of musical influences, the band sets itself apart through its ability to interpret diverse genres, ranging from pop and folk music to classical compositions and protest songs. Alongside Turkish, and depending on the nature of the performance, they also sing in other languages such as Kurdish, Arabic, and Greek, as well as performing songs from the Balkans. Perfectly in keeping with the unique theme of the Turkish Balkan Night, the band will curate a specific repertoire of songs from Turkey and the Balkans for this event. For the Balkan section of the evening, the band has invited guest musicians with Balkan roots to make a special guest appearance.
