The Philip Glass Ensemble returns to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven with a live performance of Glassworks, the legendary 1982 album. With this neoclassical masterpiece, Philip Glass aimed to make his music more accessible to a wider audience—and he succeeded. The album exceeded all expectations, embraced by both critics and listeners alike. Glassworks captures Glass’s signature style: sharp tones, layered patterns, and an unstoppable musical flow. Gramophone described it as “an excellent introduction to an important aspect of contemporary music.” The Philip Glass Ensemble will perform the complete six-part work exclusively in Eindhoven, staying true to the original composition.
