The Philips Symphony Orchestra has enlisted top horn player José Luís Sogorb Jover to perform Glière’s Horn Concerto. This neoclassical horn concerto is one of Glière’s most well-known works, and its strong romantic influences make it very accessible. Rachmaninoff also drew heavily from romance in his Second Symphony, one of his most famous symphonic works. Rich melodies and a large orchestration are sure to captivate the audience.

For the Love of Music
Community life is a crucial social and cultural driver in our society. Few things connect people as effectively. The association is undoubtedly one of the most efficient means of countering division in society. Both associations and enthusiasts and independent practitioners of amateur arts can find a home at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. With the project For the Love of Music, we are pleased to make our venues available to everyone who loves music: creators, artists, and musicians from Eindhoven and the surrounding region.
GLOW Eindhoven
The annual light art festival GLOW will illuminate the streets of Eindhoven from November 9 to 16 with a stunning light-filled backdrop. With over 750,000 visitors each year during this week, the city becomes particularly busy. We advise you to allow extra time so you can arrive on time for the concert you’re attending.
Road closures
From November 9 to 16, some roads will be closed daily from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Check the GLOW route and the recommended transportation and parking options here.
Our advice
If possible, we recommend not coming to the concert by car. Muziekgebouw Eindhoven is within walking distance of Eindhoven Central Station, and trains will still be running after the concert. Alternatively, feel free to come by bike and park it for free at the bicycle parking on 18 Septemberplein. Check all bicycle parking locations and opening times here.
Still prefer to come by car? We advise parking at one of the Q-Park garages or at a Park & Ride (P+R) location and continuing your journey by public transport. View the recommended transportation and parking options here.
