Rhythmix is much more than just a concert! It’s packed with surprising, humorous, and theatrical elements that will keep the entire family on the edge of their seats. The musicians of Philzuid, together with the energetic percussionists of Percossa, take you on a journey from near silence to spectacular sounds through the entire symphony orchestra. Famous works by composers such as Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, and Ravel come to life in a way that will enchant both young and old.
Sitting still is not an option! You are encouraged to clap along, stomp, and move to the captivating rhythms. Whether it’s your first time at a concert or you’re a seasoned music lover, Rhythmix will show you in a playful way just how fascinating music can be.

Percossa consists of four classically trained percussionists: Eric Robillard, Frans Kemna, Freek Koopmans, and Janwillem van der Poll. Together, they master a wide variety of instruments and play anything they can get their hands on. All four are virtuoso musicians with a love for and talent in physical comedy. Percossa regularly collaborates with contemporary composers, symphony orchestras, and theater companies. For Percossa, percussion is the medium to create theater. Often bold, frequently humorous, sometimes enchanting and touching, and above all: for everyone!
