For Ramsey Nasr, the love for music knows no bounds. He is not a megalomaniac or just a music lover – he is addicted. With over 12,000 classical CDs, he seems unable to curb his purchasing impulse. What does this bring him, you might ask? Does it sharpen his mind to actively participate in the public debate on politics, art, and society? Or is it his way of relaxing and escaping the persistent problems of our current time? Where does he draw the line between politics and art? Ramsey Nasr takes us through his daily preoccupations.

Ramsey Nasr is an actor, poet/writer, and director, making a significant impression since the beginning of his acting and writing career. In 2009, he was appointed Poet Laureate of the Netherlands for four years. As an actor, he won the Louis d’Or in 2016 for his role in The Fountainhead, the most prestigious theatre award in the Netherlands. Two years later, he received the Louis d’Or again, this time for his role in Een klein leven (2018). He is also well known for his roles in the TV series Overspel and Oogappels and has appeared in various films. In 2020, he won a Golden Calf for Best Actor in Television Drama for his role in I.M. In 2021, he published De fundamenten, in which he reflects on a country during the coronavirus pandemic. That same year, Nasr compacter, a collected works of over twenty years of poetry, was released.
