Reed ’n String Duo, founded in May 2024 at the Conservatorium Maastricht by Gabriele di Demetrio and Viola Masciangelo, brings a fresh and surprising combination of saxophone and guitar. With a passion for chamber music, they create a unique sound by bringing well-known works back to life in creative arrangements and performing original compositions for their instruments. Their program “Within Earth and Heart” takes you on a musical journey full of stories about distant lands, deep emotions, and a connection to nature. Let yourself be carried away by this extraordinary sound world where heart and earth come together.

 

After the concert

A lunchtime concert wouldn’t be complete without a delicious lunch. After the concert, enjoy a tasty homemade soup and freshly baked bread in the City Foyer. You can add this directly to your ticket order! Staying a little longer? Wonderful!

Because we believe emerging talent deserves a stage, the lunch break concerts feature (recently graduated) students, competition winners, and other hidden gems.
