Folk-rock icon Richard Thompson has been one of the most influential voices in his genre for decades. He co-founded the folk-rock band Fairport Convention, which reinvented the genre. With his masterful control of both acoustic and electric guitar, sharp songs, and irresistible stage humor, he consistently captivates a wide audience; his music has been covered by artists such as Robert Plant and Bonnie Raitt. After more than 50 years of stage performances, Richard Thompson will return to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven in 2026 for an acoustic performance. This time, he will perform with his backup singer and wife, Zara Phillips, who will sing along for the second half of the show.
