What happens when a vintage Hammond organ shares the stage with artificial intelligence? In this unique live showcase, Hammond organist Jeroen Ermens goes head-to-head with a self-developed AI that responds to his playing in real time. Not just a tool, but a fully fledged band member and a digital counterpart. Well-known Hammond classics—from Deep Purple to Procol Harum, and from Jimmy Smith to Billy Preston—are transformed into gripping improvisations in which human and machine merge. Live, raw, unpredictable, and partly digital, Signal Interference is a performance in which no two renditions are ever the same. The project opens up a field of play for anyone curious about the encounter between art and artificial intelligence, and raises questions about control, creativity, and ownership in a world where AI is having an ever-greater impact.
