After his breakthrough in the 90s as bass guitarist for dEUS, Stef Kamil Carlens launched a successful solo career and emerged as a true multi-instrumentalist. Nel Ponsaers and Rahmat Emonds, known together as The Poem, are vocalists in THE SWOON, Carlens’ energetic backing band. Last year, as a trio, they released the album ‘Stef Kamil Carlens & The Poem’, on which poetry, literature, and music merge. For this project and the accompanying tour, they wrote new work, reworked songs from Carlens’ repertoire, and gave their own interpretation to songs by other singer-songwriters. With a wide selection of unique instruments, they will create an intimate and captivating atmosphere in the Small Hall tonight.
