A new tradition has been born: The New Night (Mass) returns for the fourth year to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven on Christmas Eve. An evening that offers space for reflection, contemplation, and togetherness, free from religious or faith-based beliefs. Under the guidance of Mike Weerts, who connects his stories to the current spirit of the times, you will be taken on a journey through an evening full of meaningful moments. With beautiful music from young talents like Remme, Alissa May, Fadi, and Qusai. The New Night (Mass) is a special occasion to pause and reflect on what moves us, before the holiday hustle begins.
Artists
Young talents such as Remme, Alissa May, and the Syrian musicians Fadi and Qusai deliver an impressive musical program.
Singer-songwriter Remme (25) has quickly established himself as one of the most promising artists of his generation. Inspired by legends like Jeff Buckley and Fleetwood Mac, he wrote his first song at the age of 12 and has since developed his unique voice. Hits like “The Moment,” “Get Older,” and “Bittersweet” have become major successes across Europe.
Alissa May (Melissa Janssen, 26) continues to captivate audiences with her powerful voice. Her single Put Me First, which she literally took from her diary, is an intimate, honest, and strong song.
The Syrian musicians Fadi (25) and Qusai (22) were recently featured in the documentary The Sound of Home on NPO 2, which explored their struggles as refugees and the hope that music brings them. Thanks to the documentary, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven came into contact with the young musicians, both of whom had already built professional careers in Syria as a violinist and cellist. During De Nieuwe Nacht(mis), these talents will have the opportunity to share their musicality with the Eindhoven audience.
