With concerts described by audiences as lively, personal and refreshing, the Van Gogh Trio is making its mark on concert stages across the Netherlands. Named after the renowned painter Vincent van Gogh, the trio was founded in Amsterdam as a collaboration between close friends and promising musicians Enzo Kok, Charlotte Brussee and Maxim Heijmerink. Their friendship, combined with their shared background, led them to perform together for the first time at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Since then, the trio has appeared at leading venues and festivals including the Koninklijk Concertgebouw, TivoliVredenburg and the Grachtenfestival. They have also been featured on NPO Radio 4, were invited to take part in the Podium Witteman Masterclass (NPO 2), toured South Africa, and are currently pursuing further studies at the Nederlandse Strijkkwartet Academie (NSKA). Charlotte Brussee performs on a beautiful and rare Radrizzani cello, built in Switzerland in 1917, which is generously on loan to her from the Muziekinstrumentenfonds.
After the concert
A lunchtime concert is, of course, not complete without a delicious lunch. After the concert, enjoy a flavorful homemade soup and freshly baked bread in the Stadsfoyer. You can add this directly to your ticket!

Lunchtime concerts
Our lunchtime concerts are a delight to experience: both literally and figuratively! Taking a break in the middle of the day to relax for an hour with a nice concert in the Small Hall really makes the day feel refreshing. From piano recitals to chamber music and brass ensembles, the offerings are varied and innovative. Since we believe that emerging talent deserves a platform, our lunchtime concerts feature (recently graduated) students, competition winners, and other promising gems.
