The versatile guitar-saxophone duo Van Ruller // Hogenhuis is returning to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven! These Dutch jazz heroes draw inspiration from unconventional bands and songwriters, breaking the traditional roles of accompanist and soloist. Their repertoire consists of original compositions, and their second album, ‘Follow the Sound’, was released in 2024. In contrast to their previous album, ‘Spirits High’ (2021), they co-composed nearly all the pieces together. This has resulted in eight organic works that center around melody and sound. Influences range from Blake Mills and Sam Gendel to Sufjan Stevens and Shabaka. Don’t miss it!
