The influential Belgian composer and pianist Wim Mertens is known for his melodic, minimalist style. Since the 1980s, he has been building an internationally acclaimed body of work. In this concert, Mertens presents music from his latest album Ranges of Robustness—a reflection on the many facets of robustness—alongside classics like Struggle for Pleasure and Maximizing the Audience. An evocative evening filled with lyricism, depth, and unmistakable melodies.
