The newly crowned winner of the Liszt Competition 2026 will make their appearance in the International Prize Winners series at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. Who will it be? We will find out at the final of the competition on January 24, 2026. The winner will join the prestigious list of laureates, including pianists Alexander Ullman, Mariam Batsashvili, and Enrico Pace.
The triennial international Liszt Competition, held in Utrecht, has built a reputation since its inception in 1986 as one of the world’s most prestigious piano competitions. Liszt Utrecht is distinguished by the extensive support provided to its prize winners. For a period of three years, the competition works intensively with and for the winners as impresario, mentor, and publicist. Winners are given the opportunity to gain practical experience in life as a professional touring musician, build an international network, and develop both as artists and individuals by engaging with (musical) cultures around the world.
