Folk Punk Take Over is a young music and art collective from Eindhoven. What started as a monthly radio show on Rararadio quickly grew into a platform that also organizes concerts and other creative events. Tonight at M you can catch Yes Ma’am, The CackleBeans, and Sjek!
Yes Ma’am
Yes Ma’am hails from the deep South of the United States and combines the raw energy of early punk with the musical traditions of 1930s blues, jazz, and bluegrass. With his weathered voice and heartfelt stage presence, singer Matt effortlessly connects with the audience. Whether performing solo or with fellow folk punk musicians, Yes Ma’am leaves a lasting impression.
The CackleBeans
The CackleBeans bring Appalachian energy to the stage with an infectious mix of traditional and modern bluegrass. Armed with banjo, mandolin, guitar, fiddle, and double bass – and using the authentic single mic setup – these four musicians deliver rich harmonies, plenty of twang, and a danceable vibe that won’t let you sit still. From timeless classics to surprising new gems, The CackleBeans shake things up with a smile.

Welcome to Sjek’s living room: a place where acoustic instruments blend with Dutch-language lyrics that reflect the mindset of a worn-out generation. Somewhere between the tattered couch and the cozy lamp, Sjek is the blue in your room and the tangles in your head. An idiosyncratic mix of folk punk, gypsy jazz, and Latin.
