Echoes of Harmony
Many heads turn, and many people pause for a moment in Jan van Lieshoutstraat: a – literally – gigantic mural has recently been added to the façade of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.
Eindhoven City Council commissioned Studio Giftig to add more colour to the building. The mural, entitled Echoes of Harmony, is more than just a visual work; it makes a powerful statement. It symbolises unity and serves as a reminder that art and music can bridge divides.

“Music is the universal language that connects people and cultures, regardless of their background or circumstances. The mural on the façade of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven depicts the merging of two worlds: an embrace between a street musician and a concert violinist. The artwork symbolises the power of music to break down barriers and unite society – something that is crucial in these ever-changing times.”
The mural provides a powerful new impetus for the façade of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. The message of Echoes of Harmony aligns seamlessly with the music venue’s mission of ‘Connecting & Expanding’, and the venue is proud to display the work.

The work has not gone unnoticed internationally either. The renowned platform Street Art Cities named Echoes of Harmony ‘Best Mural Worldwide 2024’ in the Expert Spotlight category.
