De Opening
From August 28 to 30, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven will be part of DE OPENING! This year, Eindhoven is the host city for DE OPENING festival, celebrating the launch of the new cultural season. Just like other cultural venues across the city, MgE is throwing open its doors this weekend, giving visitors a sneak peek of new productions, a chance to meet rising talent, and the opportunity to experience the work of established names.
Over the coming weeks, we will be adding all activities for the opening to this page. On Saturday, for instance, you can discover classical music through a mini-course, followed by a Candlelight Concert featuring everything from Vivaldi’s compositions to iconic hits by ABBA. Enjoy international food from the food trucks or get hands-on and make music yourself under the guidance of music teachers at one of the hubtowers. On Sunday, Your World, Your Music brings communities from all corners of Eindhoven together to share and celebrate their culture, where you will also get a special preview of the Moroccan Bladi festival!
Your Talent, Your Future
Saturday during DE OPENING is all about young talent and the next generation of creators. Get inspired by young artists and experience how talent develops both on and around the stage. On the Markt, you will encounter familiar faces from Eindhoven alongside rising young talent. Inside the building, there is plenty to experience: from workshops in the foyers to intimate Lapiano sessions in M. Music theorist Asja Zakhareva will take you on a journey of discovery into the world of Vivaldi during an interactive workshop. In the evening, you can experience Vivaldi live during a Candlelight Concert. And for anyone curious about what goes on behind the scenes at MgE, we are organizing guided tours of the building throughout the day. Below you will find the activities that require registration or have a specific start time. In addition, you can simply walk in and get hands-on with making music yourself—for instance, under the guidance of music teachers at one of the hubtowers!

Your World, Your Music
Come by and immerse yourself in the many cultures that find a home at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. During Your World, Your Music, communities from all corners of Eindhoven come together to share and celebrate their culture—together with you. On both the Markt and inside Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, you can enjoy performances, great food, and various activities. With the Your World, Your Music initiative, we bring the world to Eindhoven by putting the spotlight on a different culture each time. We work closely with cultural ambassadors to create a festival for and by the community. Under this banner, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven hosts successful annual festivals, such as the Turkish festival Merhaba Eindhoven, the Moroccan festival Bladi, and the Polish Witaj Eindhoven. In addition to all the scheduled activities listed below, there are also numerous stalls and performances that you can simply wander past and enjoy.

¡Hola Eindhoven! is a celebration of Latin American culture at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. Part of DE OPENING, this day is all about live music, dance, food, drinks, and activities for all ages. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and discover the rich culture of Latin America. The program and participating stalls will be announced soon.
