Baroque Orchestras Series

Baroque music performed on authentic instruments by top national and international musicians is what we present in the Baroque Orchestras series. After an overwhelming performance of Handel’s oratorio Esther, Ton Koopman and his Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Choir this season perform Handel’s Athalia with a top cast. The French Le Concert Spirituel, conducted by Hervé Niquet, performs Vivaldi’s beloved Gloria, among others. Of course, Bach cannot be missing from the baroque series. This season, the Nederlands Kamerkoor and the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin join forces for a complete performance of the Weihnachtsoratorium.
