Artwork by Studio Giftig on the wall of MgE draws attention
Many heads have already turned, and people have stopped in their tracks over the past few weeks in Jan van Lieshoutstraat: a – literally – giant and beautiful mural now adorns the façade of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.
The municipality of Eindhoven entrusted Studio Giftig with the honor of bringing more color to the building, and they’ve certainly succeeded. The mural has become a topic of conversation, with Eindhovens Dagblad and Indebuurt Eindhoven also reporting on it. The mural, named Echoes of Harmony, is not just a painting but also a statement: it represents unity and serves as a reminder that art and music can bridge divides.
Studio Giftig about the work:
“Music is the universal language that connects people and cultures, regardless of their background or situation. The mural on the façade of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven portrays the merging of two worlds: an embrace between a street musician and a concert violinist. The artwork symbolizes the power of music to break down barriers and unite society, something crucial in these ever-changing times.”
A wonderful new addition to the façade of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, the message of Echoes of Harmony perfectly aligns with Muziekgebouw Eindhoven’s mission of ‘Connecting & Broadening,’ and we are proud to display this work on our building.
