ASML and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven extend collaboration: music is key for connection, talent and equal opportunities
Since 2024, ASML and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven have been working closely together and have developed several cultural programs. In 2024 and 2025, their joint projects already reached more than 35,000 people. By extending this collaboration, both partners are continuing their shared mission: to make culture accessible to everyone. This collaboration is part of ASML’s social agenda for a strong Brainport Eindhoven region where everyone can take part and there’s room for culture and meeting people.
Marjolein de Hooge, Head of Social Engagement at ASML, says: “Many people don’t have the opportunity to attend a concert. The fact that we can lower that threshold together with our partner Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, share music with so many different people and bring top acts to our region, makes this collaboration very meaningful to ASML. Through this partnership, we’re contributing to an attractive Brainport region for everyone.”
International allure
One of the components of the partnership are the ASML Headliners. Thanks to this collaboration, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven can now bring 10 international top acts to Eindhoven every year. For 2026, these include Wet Wet Wet, Emmylou Harris, Marillion, Tower of Power and the renowned classical orchestra Bamberger Symphoniker. With Celeste Barber, international comedy has also been added to the headliners, a genre that appeals to an increasing number of fans in the region. Accessibility for everyone At the same time, ensuring access for everyone remains a top priority. For each Headliner concert, some of the tickets are made available free of charge to people for whom a concert visit is not something to take for granted. In recent years, the partners have made 750 tickets available per year through social organizations such as Stichting Ik Wil and Quiet Eindhoven. In the next two years, they will distribute at least 1,000 tickets annually.
Next generation
ASML and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven both underscore the importance of music and cultural education for children. The partners are committed to educational projects for children for whom cultural participation is far from a given. For many children, it’s their first encounter with Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. An example is the Unforgettable Class project, which offers tailor-made music education to more than 750 children a year, including children from asylum seekers’ centers, special education students and children who don’t get opportunities to receive music education. An entire morning, they receive music lessons through workshops.
The Tekenen voor Vrijheid (Drawing for Freedom) project reaches 800 primary school pupils every year. They learn about the theme of freedom in the classroom. The drawings they make as part of the lesson are animated by a filmmaker. The children are then invited to the large Hertog Jan Hall of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven for the official screening accompanied by live music.
Jack Pisters, general manager of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven: “We’re very proud and grateful that ASML is once again supporting us for a longer period of time. This collaboration enables us to continue investing in talent development, education and accessibility – allowing music to grow, with and for the city.”
Employees as ambassadors
ASML’s own employees also play an active role in this collaboration. The ASML On Stage event remains an annual highlight, where amateur musicians and dancers from ASML take the professional stage. This event with live performances in a wide mix of genres is open to everyone. In addition, ASML will continue to link its name to the beating heart of the building as a partner: the ASML Foyer.
