Eindhoven is (finally!) getting its own talk show

In Eindje van de Week, the new talk show about Eindhoven, current events in and around the Brainport region of Eindhoven are discussed at M.

The first try-out will take place on Friday, October 11, 2024, featuring guests such as former ASML CEO Peter Wennink, ‘homeless helper’ Hugo van Rooij, and the director of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, Edo Righini. The special’s table guest will be Katja Pahnke, business director of the Dutch Design Foundation. Eindje van de Week will be recorded by Studio040 and broadcast both on TV and online.

The talk show is a collaboration between Muziekgebouw Eindhoven director Edo Righini, Studio040 director Mike Weerts, and FRITS editor-in-chief and publisher Hans Matheeuwsen. The content focuses on current events in and around the Brainport region of Eindhoven and is determined by the three participating parties. Mike Weerts and Hans Matheeuwsen will be in charge of directing and presenting, and the discussions will be interspersed with live music.

Eindje van de Week will take place in a relaxed café setting and is free for the public, provided that guests purchase a minimum of two drinks. There is space for up to 150 people. The show will start at 4:00 PM and last until 5:00 PM, after which guests can enjoy drinks accompanied by a DJ. With this initiative, the organizers also aim to reinvigorate the Friday afternoon drink culture in Eindhoven, making Eindje van de Week and M the place to be on Friday afternoons at the end of the workweek.

The new talk show by Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, Studio040, and FRITS is a continuation of the Studio040 talk show from 2023. The program follows a journalistic approach, with human interest as its main pillar. The organizers aim to bridge different communities within the Eindhoven region and bring them together. Each episode of Eindje van de Week will feature a table guest, and collaborations with other parties are not excluded. Sponsorship opportunities for the talk show are available.

The second special of Eindje van de Week is scheduled for Friday December 6th, to wrap up the year. M is the newest venue of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, located at the corner of Jan van Lieshoutstraat, Markt, and the Heuvel.
