Exhibition by Zoë Papaikonomou on view for a month at M

From 15 October to 16 November, LinkedIn TopVoice and leading investigative journalist Zoë Papaikonomou will present an exhibition at M in Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. The exhibition is part of the DDW Mission Days with the theme *‘Equal Society’*, but will be free to visit throughout the month.

Eight years ago, Zoë Papaikonomou began actively posting on the social media platform LinkedIn. Her mission: to expose abuse of power and discrimination in society. As a journalist, she mainly focuses on unequal language use in the media. She does this in her own way, by reworking newspaper headlines. Her revisions often reveal how conscious and unconscious framing by the media operates. Zoë has also co-authored books on inclusion, including Heb je een boze moslim voor mij? and De Inclusiemarathon.

For her exhibition at M, Zoë focuses on newspaper headlines related to culture. How do the media write about artists, and how does this contribute to misrepresentation of them? These and other questions will be explored in the exhibition. Located on the outside of M, the exhibition is freely accessible day and night.

Club Solange

On Friday 24 October, Zoë will also be a guest at the concert Club Solange, where the theme Equal Society will be explored musically. Singer and host Solange Rose will engage in conversation with Zoë about her work and exhibition. Investigative journalist Sinan Can will also be present that evening, sharing his perspective on the theme Equal Society. The programme will be musically framed by Solange Rose, Robbert Duijf and Senna Kroon, accompanied by the Jeroen Ermens Band.
