TROMP invites you to slow down, listen deeply, and experience percussion in an entirely different way. Each session begins with a guided meditation by Zen teacher Anne Peters, inviting the audience into a moment of calm and focused awareness. From this silence, live music gradually emerges: subtle vibrations, shimmering overtones, breathing rhythms, and immersive soundscapes performed on singing bowls, marimba, vibraphone, gongs, and other resonant percussion instruments. Rather than a traditional concert, DAUW unfolds as a meditative journey in which sound becomes space for reflection, presence, and connection.
DAUW offers a quiet counterbalance within the energy of the festival — a place to recharge, slow down, and rediscover the physical and emotional impact of sound. Whether you are a devoted music lover, a meditation practitioner, or simply curious to experience percussion from a new perspective, this special festival edition invites you to pause and fully immerse yourself in the moment.
