After performing in many small ensembles, Ed Verhoeff — known as one of the finest jazz guitarists in the Netherlands — returns with a powerful quartet: Ed Verhoeff ‘Kind Folk’. This afternoon marks the first live presentation of his new album “Dear Fathers,” a personal musical story about the father–child relationship and everything that comes with it. Together with Mark Haanstra (bass), Yoràn Vroom (drums) and Marcus Olgers (keys), Verhoeff forms an adventurous group with a fresh, groovy rhythm section and lyrical melodies. The music is organic, expressive, and invites listeners to explore the strength and vulnerability that lie within every father.
Schedule
The doors of M open at 4:00 PM, where you can enjoy a drink and music from the DJ. The concert by Ed Verhoeff ‘Kind Folk’ starts at 5:00 PM and runs until 6:15 PM. To wrap things up nicely, the DJ will keep playing until 7:00 PM.
