Although Evgeny Grinko took his first musical steps as a guitarist and drummer, it was ultimately the piano that captured his interest. He taught himself to play and, in 2010, composed the piece “Valse,” which went viral and quickly established him as one of the leading pianists in his genre. His music is characterized by a cinematic style, infused with touches of humor, wistfulness, and melancholy. To date, he has released five albums and six EPs, with his most recent project, “Winter Moonlight”—an intimate, cinematic piano work that fully showcases Grinko’s melodic style.
