In the very last lunchtime concert of this season, composition students from the Conservatorium Tilburg take you on a journey through different worlds. From powerful pieces about failure and imperfection accompanied by striking video images, to a composition about the Greek protests in which voice and instruments together tell a story of resistance and hope. You’ll also hear modern adaptations of traditional Iranian melodies and an electronic work in which medieval motifs and technology engage in a surprising dialogue.
After the concert
A lunchtime concert wouldn’t be complete without a delicious meal. That’s why, after the performance, you can enjoy a flavorful homemade soup and freshly baked bread in the Stadsfoyer. You can order this directly with your ticket! Staying a little longer? Great!

Our lunch break concerts are a treat to experience: both literally and figuratively! Take a break in the middle of the day and unwind with a delightful concert in the Kleine Zaal. That’s the perfect way to break up your day! From piano recitals to chamber music and wind ensembles, the program is varied and innovative. Because we believe emerging talent deserves a stage, the lunch break concerts feature (recently graduated) students, competition winners, and other hidden gems.
