Grief is a form of loss that silently calls for compassion. We offer our help without it being asked, because we can imagine eventually feeling this same pain ourselves. But when it comes to suicide, everything becomes more complicated: it eludes our understanding, leaving us with questions we often don’t dare to ask, fearing we might be inappropriate. As a result, we risk drifting apart. On March 22, 2022, Clara lost her father, who took his own life. Clara is one of Gianmarco’s dearest friends, and this performance tells her story. A portrait is brought to life through her words, visual art, and the music of three composers, representing her emotions: anger, dissociation, and loneliness. However, everything is seen through the eyes of Gianmarco, the friend who tries to approach a pain that seems untouchable. For we are our emotions. Let’s open ourselves to one another, and we will no longer be alone.
After the concert
A lunchtime concert is, of course, not complete without a delicious lunch. After the concert, enjoy a flavorful homemade soup and freshly baked bread in the Stadsfoyer. You can add this directly to your ticket!

Our lunchtime concerts are a delight to experience: both literally and figuratively! Taking a break in the middle of the day to relax for an hour with a nice concert in the Small Hall really makes the day feel refreshing. From piano recitals to chamber music and brass ensembles, the offerings are varied and innovative. Since we believe that emerging talent deserves a platform, our lunchtime concerts feature (recently graduated) students, competition winners, and other promising gems.
