FAA Composition Class

Four students from the Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg present a completely new set of music that they have composed together by rehearsing, experimenting, and truly listening to one another. The ensemble functions as a creative workshop in which the music takes shape step by step. Without bass and drums, the music takes on a different dynamic: rhythm and movement arise from their interplay, harmony, and attentive interaction. The music moves between open soundscapes, layered chords, and moments of subtle stillness. Inspired by contemporary jazz, impressionistic harmonies, and both vocal and instrumental improvisation, these pieces are not traditional songs but musical spaces that invite the audience to listen along.
