MEAU broke through in 2021 with the song “Dat Heb Jij Gedaan” and has since become a staple in the Dutch charts. With her sincere and honest lyrics, she sings about both the beautiful and the difficult sides of love. Her warm, recognizable sound effortlessly takes the audience through the complexities of relationships. In 2022, MEAU received an Edison for her debut album, and in 2024, she made a significant social impact with the song “Stukje Van Mij,” where she brought online shaming into the conversation. She has a unique way of translating sensitive topics into dreamy, fragile, danceable, and at the same time catchy songs. During her theater performance, MEAU opens her heart to the audience, presenting herself purely and vulnerably while creating an intimate atmosphere together with her live band.
