Merhaba Eindhoven is a festival entirely dedicated to Turkish culture. In the afternoon, you can visit the free Bazaar, featuring live music, a wide variety of stalls, the finest Turkish food and drinks, workshops, and children’s activities. This makes the Bazaar a great event for the whole family.

During the Bazaar, Turkish entrepreneurs can sell their products or services. The following businesses will be present at the Bazaar during the third edition of Merhaba Eindhoven.

Sercan
Sercan has been making music for over 35 years. She started with the piano, moved on to the Saz, and has been playing the ukulele for the past two years. She studied Turkish music for one year at the Rotterdam Conservatory. In addition, she enjoys singing and has performed with the Turkish Saz (long-necked lute) in the theatre production ‘De Gesluierde Monologen’ (The Veiled Monologues) by Adelheid Roosen.
Başak Ersöz
After graduating from the M.S.Ü State Conservatory in Türkiye, Başak Ersöz continued her studies at conservatories in Italy and Switzerland, earning seven diplomas as a flautist. She regularly performed in solo, chamber music, and orchestra concerts, and participated in numerous festivals both at home and abroad. In 2022, she became a professor at the Istanbul State Conservatory, and since 2024 she has continued her work in the Netherlands, where she founded the International Flute Academy. In addition, she teaches flute, recorder, piano, and music theory.
During Merhaba Eindhoven, Başak Ersöz will be performing together with Şeniz Duru Koevoets.
Şeniz Duru Koevoets
Şeniz Duru Koevoets, born in Turkey, studied piano at the Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory and obtained her DMA in 2001. She taught at the DEU State Conservatory for over 20 years, where she also served as head of the piano faculty. In 2018, she moved to the Netherlands and started her own music school in Eindhoven. She teaches piano lessons, performs solo and chamber music, and is a member of the ensemble Tango de Barrio.
During Merhaba Eindhoven, Şeniz Duru Koevoets will be performing together with Başak Ersöz.
Rastika
Rastika is a music band that was founded last year in Eindhoven. Rastika mainly plays Turkish pop music from the ’80s and ’90s. In addition, they also perform Turkish Alaturca and international music. The band strongly believes in the universal language of music, does not set limits, and enjoys playing anything they find fun!
Pötibör
Pötibör is a cover band that plays Turkish pop-rock songs. The band was formed with Ece (vocals), Baran (drums), Sinan (electric guitar), Yusuf (bass guitar), and Sinan (clarinet). Since 2023, the band members have been joyfully making music together and are eager to share that joy!
In the evening, you can attend the concert by the Turkish rock band maNga. The afterparty will be hosted by Music from the Orient and DJ Blue Flamingo. For more information and tickets, visit this page.
